My wife asks me to call her when I reaches offices and also calls her before leaving office. Al right Alright, enough with laughing. It is all about love for me. I know this is a technology blog, so let’s talk about it.
Problem is I mostly forget to call my wife. So here is this App which will help me now. I can just set the timing for reminding me for calling her. Just start imagining that you want to go for sun bath, this Android App informs you in the morning that it is of no use because there will be rain.
Now thanks to Android and to Microsoft. A giant is planning to announce the beta release of on{X} (pronounced ‘on-ex’), with its site and the Android App together that helps users with lengthy control of their Android phones via remote programming.
What you have to do is just download the Android App and go to the on{X} site and set your rules which are named as ‘recipes’. When you will visit that website, you will also find some default 11 templates. For example, ‘Launch the music app when I am walking’ and ‘Remind me to visit the gym if I haven’t been there in 3 days’. One can easily edit that recipe according to choice before downloading it on the Phone.
The experienced user can edit it more using JavaScript API that defines the ‘triggers’ and ‘actions’. For example, ‘When I reach office, call my wife’ (Trigger = reach office, Action = call wife). Trigger examples include: A change in location, SMS received, incoming call, timer, low battery, etc. There’s another exciting and smart trigger called ‘mode of transport’ that helps the user’s device to find out if he is walking/driving/running. Actions include: Send an SMS, send an email, show a notification, launch an application.
