I said this before in some of the article, I love the technology which keep on coming with new inventions and make our lives interesting. I discussed the Google Project Glasses technology before and now we have another “Star Track” glasses from Vuzia.
Vuzix has come up with their exciting eyewear to compete the Google Glasses in the world of Android. The company will present their Smart Glasses M100 at CES 2013, with the expectations of providing the feature of presenting display in front of eyes to everyday mobile applications.
They are planning for a release in mid-2013 release, mainly targeting the Ice Cream Sandwich-based eyepatch, with a WQVGA display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 1GHz OMAP4430 processor, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. This latest gadget will be able to capture still photos and 720p HD video, with playback and one can view the images with the help of its mounted display. Currently it will come out for the support of Android 4.0, but soon Vuzix will be launching this technology to also support the iOS devices and plans to release an SDK for developers sometime in December to the tune of $999.
