The iTunes App Store makes it easy to find the most popular apps or break them all down into categories but its far from perfect. Apple familiar with this, to help finding apps in a better way, they acquired a company Chomp.
Chomp is simply an enhanced & clean search engine for mobile applications. It covers both the iTunes App Store and Android Market and offers more deep & detailed results for search queries. As the company explains on its website, “Chomp’s proprietary algorithm learns the functions and topics of apps, so you can search based on what apps do, not just what they’re called.”
Chomp had raised a little over $2.5 million over two rounds of funding. The company has 20-some employees all of whom should be heading over to Apple.
Check out at Chomp’s website & search your desired application.
